Always wanted to play the oboe, violin, viola, cello, trombone, flute, or another instrument? For anyone who has always wanted to get started in music and may have missed that opportunity many years ago in school, or those who played an instrument in the past and are looking for a way to jump or ease back into it—NACHO is for you!
The Newbie Adult Chamber Orchestra (NACHO) is a group of people with a wide range of musical abilities. We are a non-performance orchestra and meet to practice playing as a group and to socialize. You bring your own instrument and we provide music pieces for a range of expertise—beginners start with custom arrangements for Newbies prepared by our Music Director. So, yes, even beginners can start playing parts from well known classical music pieces. We meet on Monday mornings from 10 AM to 12 noon at St. James Community Square, Mel Lehan Hall, 3214 West 10th Avenue. Go to NACHO for more details.
Our Winter Term starts today at 10:00 a.m.!
